Everything is this book is all stuff I already knew. I wish there were more about when to stock up on items or what time of year are certain things on sale.
This book has many helpful savings tips and couponing ideas. Saving and budgeting are promoted. Many easy to follow common sense ideas. This is a good refresher for those more familiar with saving through coupons.
I was a big time coupon user even before I read this book, and already use a lot of the ideas in it. There were still ideas that I haven't used and some I hadn't heard of before. Even though I won't use every idea that was written about, in the right situation each is very sound and useful. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to save money while shopping.
I think this little book is geared more towards beginners, but I did discover a few things I did not know about. One of them was using Facebook to gain access to coupons. I also liked the author's list of websites he uses. There are some good ones there. The idea of a stores adding coupons to my loyalty card was also new to me. Overall, I enjoyed the book.
Free book so what's not to love? Anyway, I do a small amount of coupon use but will probably do more now. Lots of good suggestions, etiquette (yes) and resources. I stay away from the "rewards" cards. They tend to promote impulse buying. With a meal planner and selected coupons we can save quite a bit. This book is well written. It gets right to the do's and dont's without alot of self promotion. A good short read with some valuable information and coupon links.
This booklet has great advice to begin couponing, but it is lacking information about how to really save big bucks from couponing; namely stocking up on the great deals when you find them, as well as the lucrative benefits from store reward programs. Also, nearly every avid component plans or adapts their menu based on which items their family enjoys which they can get for a good deal that week. All in all, it was a great start for those who are starting to dabble with coupons, but there are many more tricks of the trade to explore.
Wow, there is not much to say as this book did not say much. It is a quick read but I would not call anything in it an advanced strategy. It is a very basic primer on using coupons. Even worse, it contains illegal advice, it says that it is okay to copy coupons you print from the Internet. I have an internet printed coupon in front of me and it states Reproduction, alteration, transfer or sale of this coupon or its contents is prohibited and is a criminal offense.
